No Second Chance Defense, Inc. is not a law firm. We hire law firms to correct wrongful convictions and wrongful sentences.  There are an estimated 3,611 to 9,420 wrongfully convicted people in Florida prisons and we are doing something about it right now.

Justice is fair but not flawless.  When a person is convicted of a crime they never committed or given unjustified enhancements that aggravate an otherwise lesser offense into a more harsh sentence, those are the kinds of legal issues we refer to when we discuss wrongful convictions and sentences.  They effect more people than anyone is comfortable with admitting to.

The answer is yes.  However, in this inital state we are focused on Florida for two reasons.  First, it's the birthplace of SCD and second because an estimated 3,611 to 9,420 people are currently buried under the rubble of a collapsed system of justice right here in Florida.  As we grow and find volunteers outside of Florida we will quickly expand into the other 49 states.  If you are interested, don't hesitate.  Contact us today by subscribing for free and then message us about volunteering in your area.  It will help us build a database so we can expand into your state. Our priority is to hire attorneys for the wrongfully convicted.  We have a lot to offer attorneys who partner with us.  As you know, businesses can donate up to 25% of their corporate taxes to a non-profit organization.  If you're willing to help, partner with us and dollar for dollar we will use that donation to hire you for the legal defense of a wrongful conviction that needs your attention.  Any other donations you bring to the organization from people in your network will also be used to hire you.
